i.c.
FULL NAME: Kyle Jones
AGE & BIRTHDAY: 20; October 23rd
ETHNICITY: Caucasian
ALLIANCE: Shitennou
SCHOOL: Brooklyn College
GRADE: First Year University student (he failed Grade Six ... putting him a year behind everyone else in his age group)
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES: track, archery
RESIDENCE: Brooklyn (in an apartment with his dad)
FAMILY: Carol Jones [mother], Dave Jones [father], Jane Jones [older sister], Trevor Jones [older brother]
OCCUPATION: Kyle works in a movie theatre part time
REINCARNATION OF: Kunzite

APPEARANCE: Standing at 5”6, Kyle doesn't cut the most imposing figure, he he has dark hair and eyes, and there's nothing about him that really marks him as out of the ordinary. His face is a little round, and when he's dressed down (ie: in his jeans and hooded sweatshirts) he can look younger than his actual age. He tends to wear his hair cut short-ish, and while he personally likes jeans and baseball caps, he has no problem in dressing up when situations call for it. Clothes don't really matter that much to him, he likes his clothes to be clean, and to match, and that's about all the thought and effort that Kyle puts into it. For Kyle, it's not what's on the outside that maters, although he's not going to go around in ripped jeans (unless he's slacking off at home) he's also not going to judge someone that is.

He prides himself on his good posture, and makes a point of not slouching. When he moves,it's with a purpose, and he's one of those people who is able to sit very still, for long periods of time. He tends to walk rather fast, and as mentioned with a purpose.

PERSONALITY:

There are two words that often come up when people are talking about Kyle and those two words are "grounded" and "quiet". Kyle was always the quiet kid in school, he was always very polite, and always got very good grades. He wasn't labelled a geek, mostly because he didn’t look like one, he looked . . . average. He blended well, making his way along in life, not really standing out by being an overachiever, and by not being a slacker, he was just … average. One of the comments that was commonly written on his reports, and conveyed to his parents, was that he was always so calm. Nothing seemed to phase him, and at the same time, nothing really seemed to get him that excited or motivated.

He ca come off as condescending and arrogant at times, Kyle does believe that he is better than the majority of people, and he doesn't try and and hide this fact. When he's in social situations he likes to observe, and watch others, and try and figure other people out. Kyle likes to be in control of situations, and he likes to be the person doing the leading. He might be quiet, and sort of soft spoken, but when he talks, he likes to (okay he often expects) to be listened too.

Kyle might be quiet, but he is the guy who comes up with plans, , and is the guy who wants to research something to death before he goes to do it. He's the type of guy that makes lists and than checks things off said lists as he gets them done, just don't call him anal. That makes him twitch, he likes to say that he's prepared that's all. The "joke" amongst Kyle's family is that Kyle may actually be a touch obsessive compulsive, as he has to have things just so and gets annoyed and sometimes downright upset when people move his belongs around. Messes unnerve him and he has to tidy them up before he can relax, and he has a particular order that he likes to follow when he's doing certain tasks. His CD's are organized alphabetically and woe to the person who takes a CD out and doesn't put it back in its right place. This "joke" annoys Kyle to no end, he's not obsessive compulsive, he simply likes things to be organized, and sure he can't brush his teeth and than not floss them, but that just means he's into dental hygiene.

Kyle will move heaven and earth for those he thinks of as his friends. He's fiercely loyal to them, and any enemy of theirs is an enemy of his. He seemingly picks whom he deems as his friends, at random, and since he backs them up, he expects them to back him up in turn. If you cross him once, or cross his friends, he might forgive but he's never ever going to forget. He's the type of guy that when your having an argument with him will bring up slights and annoyances from the past (sometimes the distant past) to throw up into your face.

He is aware that it is cliché, and the fear of almost everyone at some point in time, but Kyle hates the dark. This means that he has a flashlight on his keychain (not that that helps, since he looses his keys a lot) and well he just really hates the dark, and gets very upset during blackouts. Kyle also dislikes muppets – it's not a phobia, he just doesn't like the muppets or Sesame Street, or anything like that. He thinks they are kind of creepy, what with their ping pong eyes . . .

HISTORY:

Carol and Dave meet at New York University, they started out as friends, and that became over time, something more, and than, once they had graduated, they got married. Carol and Dave where both people who had plans, and there plan was to get their jobs off the ground (Carol wanted to be a writer, and Dave was going to be a photographer), and than raise a family. Than Carol got pregnant. With twins. This meant that they had to move out of their apartment and into a house on Staten Island.

The twins (Jane and Trevor) were born, and thus the Jones family was off to a start. Two years later the last addition to the family was born, one Kyle Jones. It was while he was a baby that his mother started to write – and it was when he was three that his mother had her first book published. Kyle doesn't remember those early years, he doesn't remember the house that he was born into, nor does he remember the move from the medium sized house to the much larger house that he was raised in.

The success of his mothers first novel, and her second novel, meant that Carol was the chief breadwinner in the home. She was also home, all the time, as her writing office was in the house, however she wasn't available to be a mother all the time, because she was working after all, just working from home. Because of that, well Kyle's father took over chief parenting duties. He was the one who instilled a need for having plans to Kyle, and while Dave does joke from time to time about his sons almost obsessive need to plan things out, he jokes around the least of the other family members, because Dave feels a bit responsible. He was always making up lists of things to do, and laying out his “master plan” for the day, when Kyle was young. He figures he just rubbed off on his son.

Thanks to the success of Carol's writing career, the Jones family was rather well off, and Kyle's childhood was quite comfortable. He had a pretty normal childhood all things considered -- He always felt a bit distanced from his older siblings, they had the twin bond going on, and while he would never come right out and say it, he felt closer to his father growing up than he did to his mother. for one, his father was the chief care giver in his home, and also his father didn't tell him bedtime stories that gave him nightmares for weeks.

When he stared going to school, he was a truly unremarkable student. He got decent, if un-remarkable grades, and did nothing that really marked him as remarkable. A few of his teachers during this time made note of the fact that even though he had two creative parents, that Kyle himself wasn't showing any serious displays of creativity, he in fact seemed to be drawn more to the sciences than the humanities. Kyle for his part, didn't feel any real passion for any of his school subjects, he just wanted to not be associated with things that his parents were.

He was held back in grade six, due to the fact that his teachers were worried about his apparent lack of interest in well ... everything. His grades had started to seriously suffer during this time as well, so he was held back a year. Being a year behind all the others of his age, well that had an effect on Kyle – he didn't want to fall farther behind, so he started to show some interest in other things, and took up running and track as a hobby. When he made the move to junior high, he started to join more clubs and discovered something about himself . . . he liked being in charge of things. He liked being the person who tried to instil order, and he liked being the person who was listened to.

Carol and David's marriage was hitting a rough spot by the time Kyle found himself in high school, and by the time he was ready to graduate, his parents had separated. The twins, where attending college in Boston, which would have meant that it was Kyle and his mother rattling around in their house on Staten Island, had he stayed living with her. Although he loved his mother, and although she was going to stay living in the house, Kyle decided to move in with his dad, in his fathers new (small) apartment in Brooklyn.

The reason that he gave to his parents, well to his mother really, for him choosing to move in with his father was that this father was going to be living a lot closer to the school that he had chosen to attend. Since his parent had gone to New York University, Kyle has chosen to go to Brooklyn College. Since he moved in with his father, he has been having some serious nightmares, he doesn't remember what the nightmares are about, but figures they've been brought on by just the general stress in his life at the moment.
